Default CHT probe spark plug gasket

Hey guys, I apologize if this has been beaten to death, but I did a search and couldn't find my answer.
When using the spark plug ring type probe for the CHT, do you use the spark plug gasket and the probe ring? Or just the sensor itself and that's adequate to seal the spark plug. If you use both the ring and gasket does the sensor go next to the head? Or do you sandwich it between the plug gasket and the spark plug itself?

Cheers

Wade

It replaces the gasket. Be careful and keep the tail in the sweet spot.
