Long term staorage
I have tried this in the RV-10 section with no joy so am trying here.
My engine is fitted but still pickled. I spend extended periods away working and cannot check the dessicant plugs as often as I would like, especially with winter and the damp(er) weather arriving.
Four of the plugs pretty much stay dry but two (4 and 5) need regular replacement. I'm guessing this is because there is a valve open on these cylinders. I also suspect it's not a great idea to have a valve spring constantly under load. Is there a position for a 6-cylinder engine where all the valves are closed?
