Default Fuel return to 1st bay okay??

My tanks are done, and I've decided I should've put in a return line, just in case I need one. Since they are done, the only option I see is to run the return to the first bay. I won't have access to clean out metal chips that would fall in to the second bay if I went that far.

Is this ok?

I just got done doing this. I also was worried about metal chips in the second bay. After talking to Dan C. he had a great idea that worked very well. I flushed the tank with water. I filled it with about a gallon of water and sloshed it all around. The metal chips came out easily. Anything left over will get stopped in the fuel filter.
