Default #3 oil pressure hose instead of #4 ok?

I recently rebuilt an 0320 E2D. An older engine
That apparently came off a Cessna. The restrictor
fitting that the oil pressure hose attaches is a
#3. My AP did not want to remove it and replace
with a #4 for fear it was old and snap off. No easy way
to couple a #4 hose to a #3 fitting that I am aware of. Vans specs out a
#4 hose. Was planning to solve the problem with a
#3 hose. AP says it shouldn't matter. Can anyone tune in on this? Any problems
With this fix? Thanks.

Default Yep!

Your A&P is right. Pressure is pressure.
I've been flying my -6 with a #3 hose for almost 20 years. No problems
