Question How to open Garmin GTN-650 ARINC 429 Configuration Page

I just spent the morning pulling my hair out trying to figure this out, so I am now sharing my lesson learned.

In case you are trying to open any of the following to connect the Dynon Skyview to the Garmin GTN-650 (using the instructions on the Skyview Installation Guide page 12-7):

- ARINC 429 Configuration,
- VOR/LOC/GS Configuration,
- RS-232 Configuration

... you will need this one little piece of information that is missing from the manual. To open these configuration screens on the GTN-650, you must hold down the "home" button during power up.

Not sure, but with the 400w series you need to power up while holding the enter key down. This brings up the hidden menus, scroll thru to find the ARINC one. Power down to save changes.

edit: I see you found which button to hold down!

Thanks Bob. I figured out the "home" button thing on the GTN-650. I edited my message above to show others how to do it, in case anybody else goes down the same path as me.
