Default Weight Comparison

Hey all-
Does any one know off hand the weight differential between a Hartzell 74" Blended airfoil (two Blade From Van's) & a MT 3- blade CS prop? I l know the hartzell is about 47 lbs... But I cant seem to find the weight on a MT 3 blade.

Thanks Guys.

Default MT weight

HI Daniel,

Have a look here: http://www.mt-propeller.com/pdf/datsheet/mtv-6.pdf

It seems that the weight of a 3 blade hydraulic CS MT prop for 180hp is 35 pounds without the governor.

More weight and inertia in the prop is not always a bad thing.

BA Hartzel is a nice blade
