Aileron question

I recall with the elevators on the empenage, that it was good practice to put RTV at the end of the stiffeners before rivetting to avoid skin cracking on longer term.

Does the same thing apply to the ailerons. The build process is almost the same so I was thinking that the stiffener problem on the elevators might also apply here.
Did you guys also put RTV inside the ailerons at the end of the stiffeners near the trailing edge ?

No, don't put any RTV in the ailerons. You may need to squeeze one of the trailing edges to fix a heavy wing and it will get in the way. Also, reportedly the ailerons don't have issues like the tail feathers might. I only wish someone told me before I put RTV in my ailerons =^(
