Default GTX-327 to GTN-650 - Not talking!

Recently, I upgraded from a 430W to a 650. The re-pinning was straightforward, thanks to mapping provided by SteinAir & Garmin installation manuals. AFS 4500EE talks (provides altitude) to the 650 & the 327. But, the 327 does not talk to the 650. The manuals do not give guidance on the settings, but the field tech folks say that 327 software 2.10 allows the 650 to see the 327 w/settings of "remote" on the input & output fields of Chnl 1.

Perhaps, that is so, but they do not "seem" to work in this instance. I have re-pinned the 327 (19 - IN & 20 - OUT) & 650 (7/26 & 8/27) so that they directly connect to the corresponding port on the 650 (not recognized & no diagnostics - the EFIS on the other port does have 650 diagnostics).

For 650 RS-232 #1
? connecting 327 #19 to 650 #8 & 327 #20 to 650 #27: Nothing
For 650 RS-232 #2
? connecting 327 #19 to 650 #7 & 327 #20 to 650 #26: Nothing

I expect some of you have the 650 talking to the 327. Is there an undocumented feature?

(I have tried the setting combination based on input from Garmin Field Support [Altitude Fmt 1 - Aviation Output 1; GTX Mode C - GTX Mode C & the corresponding settings in the 327] with out success.

Certainly, this can be done manually & that's the end of it, but, then it's supposed to work!

Also, Garmin support tells me there's a major software release this Fall (no date given) that will "fix" a number of the "bugs" (apparently, they are legion[?]).

Other than than manual workaround, what works?

It's a known issue and sounds like it's fixed in next software update (3.0) for the 650. I've seen several reports of this problem on various boards..

Thanks Radomir.

Yes, I've seen it on BeechTalk (threads about a year ago). The discussion lapsed so it's either fixed or the workaround. Looks like workaround!

Anyone have the gist of this from the other forum? I'm not a member there.
