Default GPS input to AK-451

Folks,

Is there anyone who has succesfully interfaced the AK-451 ELT with a GPS signal?

I was trying to figure it out, when I called AmeriKing and to my surprise they asked me to send the unit so that they can "upgrade" and provide a GPS interface. This was news to me ...

Anyone has any clue what they are talking about?

Ashish

The basic AmeriKing AK-451 requires an optional GPS interface be installed (at additional cost) if you want to connect to GPS. Others, such as the ACK E-04, which I have, include the GPS interface in the basic unit.
