Default Old-style non-full-swivel tail wheel

Does anyone know how much travel the old style non-swiveling tail wheels had? I'm looking for degrees side to side from center.

Default Old Tail wheel

They'll go right round, its just the chains and springs that stop them. My chains a slack, so I don't get full rudder deflection on the tailwheel, and if one breaks I don't have full tailwheel deflection on landing....

Jeff I remember those. It would be limited by the rudder movement and what little give the chain and springs had. Take a look at your plane and move it around. I think you can estimate the movement.

Default

Depends on how you adjust your springs and chain tensions, leave a little slack and you'll be able to go close to 90? on both sides.
