Default Screw extractor

I'm wandering if the paint cutters from ACS used to remove painted screws actually work and are worth purchasing? ACS P/N 12-02456 for example.
Thanks Ron

They don't remove the screw but they do cut the paint nicely so that in the process of removing the screw it doesn't take out a chip of paint beyond the screw perimeter.

I used one when I pulled my tanks. It worked very good for cutting the paint around the screws.

The only thing is that if paint has filled the head of the screw, you MUST remove enough for the point of the cutter to properly center on the screw. If you don't then the tool might cut off center and paint will be removed in places that you don't want it to be removed. Don't ask me how I know...
