Default Global Aerospace and formation flying

I just got off the phone with NationAir aircraft insurance.
There was a question on the renewal form that asked if the airplane will be used in formation flying activities.

NationAir said that Global Aerospace will no longer issue policies if the RV will be doing any formation flying.

Certainly there is a higher level of risk involved in formation flying.
But it does make you a better pilot in my view. To me it's a wash.

I wonder what they will cut next? Night flying?

Mark
