Garmin 430/530/650 user waypoints...

Here's an off-the-wall question...

I'm creating some user waypoints for a client that will likely be loaded into a GNS430/530, GTN650 or G1000 avionics. I don't have access to the boxes yet, can anyone recall creating user waypoint names in Garmin equipment using symbols (dash, period, etc) in addition to numbers and letters?

Garmin 400, 500 series and G1000 do not have the capability to use the symbols you ask about; only numbers and letters.
