Default Access RV-9 under forward top skin F-7106

Looking at the RV-9 preview plans. DWG 28 shows the forward top skin F-7106 riveted on. What is the best way to gain access back in that area (between F-601, and F-7105) later?

Default it depends...

What do you plan on putting there? Maybe you won't need any access.

I'd suggest not putting anything there, and not cutting an access hole in the top skin if you can help it.

If you are going to put something there, design it so that can easily be removed, and include long service loops so anything electronic can be hooked up on the floor, then pushed back up into place.

Just remember.. whatever you put there, you'll need to access it on your back in the most uncomfortable position ever.

With a seat out, a blanket to soften & cover the seat/spar hump, and a couple of pillows up front, it's almost comphy enough to fall asleep!

Getting back out, sucks though! That's where those welded on handles to the roll bar really become worth the trouble of putting them on!
