Default Ceramic engine coatings?

Has anyone done this with piston tops, heads and exhaust ports to reduce oil and CHT temps, been reading an arcticle here...

If any sort of automotive race engine is built without coatings nowadays, its considered cutting corners and being cheap. Almost all of the companies in the coating industry use TechLine coatings, and they have many DIY products if so inclined.
