I would really rather build my fuselage as the second kit on the -7A. Is there anything impeding this? I have no other reason that "something to sit in/look at." Wings don't really do it for me.
Emp, Fuse, Wings, Canopy, Engine, Avionics, Fly....works for me.
Oh ya, if you sit in your fuse and you move your lips...you can log the time!

Thats what I on my 8 . Just let Vans know ,that way they ship the longerons with the fuse. They usually ship in the wing spar box ,mine came with the fuse shipped in a 16 foot 1-1/2 PVC pipe.
No reason other than it was easier for me to store the wings while I worked on the fuselage. Had I done the fuselage first, it would have been in the way of the wings.
Besides, it is kind of hard to fly an RV without the wings.

Built the fuse before the wings as well. You need to order the center wing spar in additon to longerons which normally ship in the wing kit. When you order the wings, Vans will credit you back the cost of these. I think I paid $950 or so for the center spar.
