Default oops rivet question.

I have not use these rivets yet, however would like to know if after you drill a bad rivet out and the hole is enlarged (because you are not perfect). Do you try to re-dimple the hole? For example if I have an AN426AD3-4 rivet and enlarge the hole, I would then go to a NAS 1097AD4-4, right? But now the hole is not round. After drilling the hole with a #30, would I try to re-dimple the hole and if so with a #30 or a #40 dimple die?

No, the oops rivet should work with the existing dimple, and the hole drilled out to #30.

Order a selection of oops rivets from Van's so you'll have the right length handy when the inevitable happens...

Also, if the hole is only a little bit oversized, you can try pre-swelling a normal rivet in your hand squeezer to fit the hole, then rivet normally.

Good luck,
Paul
