Default Which Alternator...

So here is my issue. I have a O-320 with the standard, fairly large, alternator. When I fitted my James cowl, the alternator hits the lower cowl.
So I need a small size, externally regulated alternator. I have been checking PP AL12-60, but it doesnt seem to come with the adjustment arm. What is the exact equivalent of the AL12-EI60/B that Vans sells, but for external regulation and adjustment bracket??

I wouln't limit mysedlf to an external regulated alternator. Moving one wire on the regulator will make it good to go (regulator supply moved to regulator out).
The PP 60 amp that Vans sells comes with everything required to bolt up.

Default B&C also gets my vote

Have the James Cowl and a B&C 40 amp with external alternator. It works fine!

B&C 40 amp alternator. Excellent performance - and superb customer service.

I have a -8A with AFS 4500, TruTrak ADI II, SL-30,ICOM A200, PMA-7000B, GTX 327, Garmin 496, Gretz Heated Pitot, Whelan Strobes, etc. 40 amps is more than enough.
