Default Automotive Oil Filter Adapter

Has anyone tried this remote mount automotive filter adapter on a Lycoming?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/320793590033...9#ht_959wt_741

It has 3/8" NPT ports which should work with -8 AN fittings.

A lot of the low-cost automotive oil filter adapters are made out of die-cast cheap "pot metal" alloys with low melting point, prone to cracking at the mounting bracket, etc. There are some much more reputable ones out there made out of billet aluminum (Moroso brand) for a little over $100 from hotrod auto places like Jegs, and even some lower-cost ones (Derale brand, less than $30) that are made of sturdy cast aluminum, some even have 1/2" NPT fitting in case you wish to try larger diameter hoses to help offset oil pressure/flow volume losses from the remote mount with long hose lengths.
