Pic request: QB wings being transported in pick up

So I made a deal on a set of RV-8 QB wings. I have a pick up with 8 ft bed. Looking for pics/ideas for safe transport. Approx 500 miles.

Laid my down flat using lots of styrofoam and carpeting as padding and strapped them down. Stuck red flags and a light on the overhang --- worked fine with no damage.

I did mine in a small rental from U-Haul. Only 50 miles, but they made it fine in a wing cradle. I added lots of foam in the front cradle and made sure it was positioned by a rib.

Thanks for all the pics and advice. In the end, I opted for the safest mode of transport, IMO.
