Default fuel injection cost

Has anyone changed out a pressure carb for fuel injection and if so what is the rough cost going to be? Also, do I need to have the airscoop on the bottom cowl if I go with the fuel injection? Bill RV-6.

Bill,
The forward facing sump get rids of the air scoop. That runs about $2200.00 new and maybe a bit less used. The conversion kit to Fuel injection will run around $3,000.00 to $3500.00 from either Airflow Performance or Precision/Bendix.
So if you want the forward facing sump and fuel injection you will be looking at around 5200.00 to 5700.00.
Good Luck,
Mahlon

thanks Mahlon,

I think I'll keep the same sump and just change over to fuel injection.
