Question Dynon EMS - RPM

Hi guys

I have a Dynon EMS D100 and am now about to install the RPM cables.
Dynon states that the cable should be mounted to the P leads but should be wired through a 30k ohm resistance. I am actually a little worried if the soldering point from the wire to the resistance can brake.

How did you manage that one?

Thanks!!!!

I soldered the wire from the Dynon to one end of the resistor, soldered a short (3-4") piece of wire to the other end. Put a couple of pieces of heat shrink over the bare wire, right up to the resistor itself. The loose end connects to the P-lead. You "may" have to change out the value of the resistor if your RPM readings are erratic. (at least that's what I've heard in some threads.) I don't think you'll have any problems if you bundle-up the resistor with some of the other wires, it will add support.

I covered the entire resistor and both joints in two layers of heat shrink.
