Default W&B changes on 7A to 7 conversion

Thought I'd list my W&B changes as related to my 7A to 7 conversion.

7A empty weight = 1081 lbs
7A empty weight ARM = 81.88

7 empty weight = 1065 bs
7 empty weight ARM = 81.11.

CG moved forward slightly, which was good news as I'm usually on the aft side with low fuel while using the the catto 3-blade prop.

The 16 lbs reduction was as expected when losing 10# of in cabin gear weldments.
The new engine mount was slightly heavier when you add the gear mount tubes, although I didn't weigh it.


The 7 gear legs were a little longer than the A models so this would have increased the weight somewhat. But, when you consider losing the nose gear, fork & tire assemebly, that would account for the differences.

I'll post some speed numbers next week. Looks like I'll be back in the air this weekend. Some have said I should gain around 2-4kts increase in speed. We shall see.

My only regret with the whole conversion is that I did it during some prime flying weather here in Florida.
It will be great getting back in the air again
