Default Rolling Aluminum

A buddy quit building his sonix an hence had a lot of sheet aluminum left. I bought a sheet of 4'X10' X .025. We rolled it up to transport it to my hanger for some future undetermined use.

Question, can I leave it rolled up indefinately until I need it or will it take a "set"?

Thank You

Yup... leave it rolled and it will be fine.

I think that the Sonex line of aircraft are made with 6061-T6, so this aluminum won't have the strength of 2024-T3.

As for keeping it rolled, LifeofReiley had it right. It's okay.

Thanks Dave. I am aware of the lower strength, but it's good to get that information out there because so many people use this site and it is a great educational tool.
