Default tank drain mounting option?

Has anyone mounted the tank drains in this manner? (inside the tank)
This is done on a piece of scrap. Wanted to get some feedback and opinons
about this before I do it. Seems like a cleaner more streamline way to go.
Thoughts?

Default They won't fully drain....

....you could be left with a puddle of water in the tank.
