Default Kneeboard or knee for the 796?

I have just bought a RV4 and it is obvious that the Garmin 796 can?t be mounted in the cockpit.

So I?m wondering how well will it work on my knee or with the new knee board?

Or will it run too hot to be held for long periods of time?

Thanks

Tim

Default

Until I can mount it in the panel, my Avmap EKP V rides on my knee. It has a knee pad and elastic strap. The Knee pad spaces it off the leg to allow a little air underneath, and so far it has been quite comfortable. I'm looking forward to plumbing it into the panel though, mainly to get rid of the wires.

Default 796 on the knee

I wonder how the 796 functions when used like that?
