Smoke system injectors - location

Quick question for those who have installed a smoke system...I can position one inject on the left side exhaust right at about 12" from the end, but due to exhaust hangers and such, the right side looks like it will be further aft, about 8" from the end...

Anyone have a similar setup, or see any issues with this? This is one of the last things to go on firewall forward, so I'd like to get it installed this weekend and close up the forward part of the plane and call it done...

Location does not matter.

I had one in my first exhaust system right where two pipes come together. When I replaced the exhaust system, I placed both injectors about 6" from the end and there is no difference in smoke output.
