Default Will the RV-6/6A hold it's position in history?

During the fifteen year production run of the RV 6 series there have been 2471 completed to date according to Van's site.

The 7 series will be 15 years old in 2016. They currently stand at 1179 completions. And need to complete another 1292 +? to replace the 6 series as the most popular kit aircraft ever sold.

For a while, at least. The six didn't have the 9 or 10 for competition like the seven does.
