Air Tec Alternator Red Green Wire Question

I'm wiring the Air-Tec 60 amp internally regulated alternator.

Question: how do you wire the red and green wires? Called Dick and he said cut off the red, and run the green to the alt switch with 3 amp diode in to protect the alt.

Photos would be nice or drawings.
