Default Registration Renewal

My aircraft registration was approaching renewal. This past Tuesday I completed the online renewal process and transaction. To my surprise the new certificate arrived in today's mail. That is less than a week. I understand the whole process is probably untouched by human hand, but I'm still amazed the FAA can move that quick.

Unhappy

The mail-in version is taking three weeks - I'm temporarily grounded waiting...

I didn't seem to get the first notice with the online secret code. You can't get that code over the phone or by mail.
