Default Check rides in experimental airplanes.

Yesterday, I specifically asked Mr. Fred Houston if he'd give private or commercial check rides in our RV's and he emphatically said, "Definitely...send them to me."

He runs Dublin Air service, in Dublin (KDBN) Georgia. There is also a great CFI-I named Jeff Hall, who gave me my IFR refresher after I bought the -10...in it. He'll also give dual instruction from beginning to PPL in your RV and Mr. Houston will then give you a check ride.

Best,

I'll give them 2 thumbs up as well.

Jeff was my wife's instructor for PPL. (that was before Fred was an examiner)
Fred did my instrument rating check ride.

Both are quality folks.

rather than digging through the regs i'll just ask, can you do a commercial check ride without the retractable gear? c/s prop?

edit: from Fred (quick response!)

"I did not realize it was a commercial, we have to have a complex aircraft for take-offs and landings, then the rest can be done in your RV
Fred"
