RV-6 N198RV Gary Palinkas
Well, I finally got around to finishing the wheel pants, leg fairings and intersection fairings. Painted them 2 days ago and installed them this morning.
I now pronounce this aircraft done..... with the usual caveat that "it is never done".
I am proud to follow another "Buckeye" in this section, Jon Thocker. Looks like we both had Ohio State colors in mind when we dreamed up our paint schemes.
My wife and I took the "magic carpet ride" to Marathon Key as soon as we could. 6 1/2 hr drive from our house and a mere 1.2 hrs by RV (Well, it could have been faster across a lot of water but I decided to take the safer route)
Keep pounding them rivets.....it is soooo worth it.

You're just north of me. What brand/color is the red you used?

Thank You
Thanks guys for the compliments (and my lovely wife thanks you also... )
Paul, the red (and all other colors) are PPG Concept single stage, no clear coat. Easier for us amateur painters. (The red is DCC4273 SC Radiant Fire Red)
Turbo, Dave Cook and I are headed to Sebring tomorrow if you can make it. Bringing our wives.
