Question KT-76a Dimming
We have a KT-76a that I did not wire to lite the digits. My question is does the 76a have an auto dim feature ? I am asking because when I put my hand over an openIng in the face as currently wired, the reply light dims. If this is correct I could just add a ground to pin 3 and supply 14 v to pin 2. Any smart avionics guys, please comment.

Yes the KT76A has auto reply light dimming and yes you can use you 14v dimmer on pin 2 with pin 3 grounded.

The reply light has a photocell for auto dimming. The pins you reference are for the lights behind the digits which do not auto dim, they are designed to be hooked up to a dimmer.
