Default Tip: Bending metal

I had such a good time making some parts today for the fastback 4 that I thought I'd post a few photos. This is bending with a couple of pieces of hardwood flooring and a rawhide hammer, the metal is 063 6061 T6 and would be a bunch harder to do with 2024 but have made several parts the same way with the harder aluminum. A good vise and some clamps are also a must.

Wow, I really don't understand how you made that compound curved bend.

Looks like percussive persuasion to me.

Nice job! Gives me some ideas for making a few parts I've been puzzling over for a while. Thanks for sharing!

there is an EAA video tip on shaping/bending metal parts (hydroforming?? Cant quite remember) that might be helpful as well.
