Default Rivet squeezer trigger problem

I finally started figuring out my Texas pneumatic squeezer out and not it has malfunctioned. The trigger lever is movable, but the piston that comes up in the back is stuck down. The plunger is retracted and it pops out when I plug the air hose back in. It is like it is 1/2 way through the cycle. I didn't get a manual and have searched online for one with no luck. I never felt the trigger worked well, so maybe just a bad unit.

Any ideas or just send it back to the supplier?
