Default Overseas Flying

These folks sure seem to have the right attitude: http://www.caribbeanflyingadventures.com/FAQ.htm

They were really interesting at Oshkosh. Besides the beautiful girls there was a short fellow with a big smile that was always around their booth and had a lot of good things to say about flying there. They had convinced the govt. to eliminate the onerous fees that so many (sound familiar?) use to foolishly embellish their coffers while eventually destroying the source (called killing the golden goose).
So now they have no fees and aviation tourism took off, so to speak....
By the way, that vertically challenged fellow had good reason to smile so much - he was a retired General from their Air Force that had flown the last active military P-51 in the world. I think it was his personal ride....! I'd smile too....

I used them when I flew to the Cayman Islands. Excellent trip. Cuba overflight permit obtained in hours.

Ron, it wasn't an ad for Jim's service. Yes they do a very nice job.
It was a suggestion for a great place to fly and the enlightened approach they have developed to encourage aviation in the Dominican Republic. Am looking forward to a visit.
Also, was hoping to hear from others that have flown to the Caribbean or nearby for tips or advice on that.....?
