Question Vans Pitot setup Q's

Hi all,

On my 7A QB wings I will be using Vans Pitot set-up but have a couple of Q's please

When using the 1/4" dia Alum. tube am I right in assuming that the only way to fit this is by 1st making the 90? bend that attaches to the inside of the bulkhead union and then feeding the whole 5' piece from the outboard end through the lower/largest rib lightening holes?

How much needs to protrude out of the inboard rib for attachment and do you use a 90? union at this point + is there enough to flare the inboard end

Any advice/pics/links would be appreciated

OR do most people just use a set up like the Safeair1 system ?????
