Default Help with carb fuel inlet screen removal/re-install

I'll be at the hangar tomorow and I wanted to clean the screen from the carb fuel inlet. Never did it on a Marvel Schebler.

I basicaly wanted to know if you guys put some teflon or green lock tite on the threads when you re-tight the hose?

If you have any tips or things that I should look for, now's the time to let me know!

thx

Default Definitly not Teflon

Do NOT use teflon or any thing that will clog the fuel jets in the carburetor!
Follow the recommended Manufacturer guidelines or have someone who has experience talk you through it the first time. As I recall you will need a new fuel strainer gasket but I could be mistaken. Rocket bob (An RV builder and A&P) would be an excellent source as well as Walt Arnow another A&P/RV builder. Just my .02

Default

Just be sure to clean the surfaces and the gasket, no thread sealant required, the copper gasket does the sealing.
