Question What to do about Pitot hole?

After realizing that the Pitot hole that Vans tells you to drill in the wing kit would not work for a Heated pitot I am not sure what to do with it. Does anyone know if it can be utilized for something else (AOA, OAT, etc.)? If not, does anyone have a good method of patching it?

Get one of those Stainless Steel button plugs from a hardware store and plug it with that. I had those on my Cherokee in the wings where you filled the struts with N2.

Check out the entry dated 4/14/05 on my wing page.

Might not be a bad place for the temperature probe.

Default I used GRT OAT probe

I stuck the GRT OAT probe in that hole. Fits pretty good. A little ProSeal and it should be fine.

I called Sandy and asked her if I needed any special wire to extend the ones on the probe so they reach all the way back to the EIS-4000. She said it didn't matter.
