Default Turbo normalization

Hi all I would like to find out if any of you RV guys have put a turbo normalization system in any of the RV aircraft.

My dad and I are looking to purchase a RV 8 but he wants to try and fit a system that will do the above so that he can get normal manifold pressure up to FL190 so he can fly ontop of bad weather.

I however don't think this is such a great idea as I like the keep it simple idea.

What are your guys thoughts on this and are there any rvs out there with such items.

Thanks
Edward

Welcome to VAF, Edward! It's a great community. There's tons of info here for you and your dad, available via the search function above. Start with Mike Poulsen's turbo RV-6 in this thread.

Enjoy your time here.

Default Welcome Edward

A Mr. Mark Rowe built a beautiful, turbo-normalized RV-8, named "Grezdlitn"
and he can be contacted here:

Scroll down to the bottom thread.

Best,
