Scotchguard?

Now that the (terrific-looking) carpet/interior is here from CAD, I want to keep it looking that way. Whenever I get a new car (not lately because of the money-sucking aluminum mistress in my garage ), I Scotch-guard all the carpeting and cloth portions of the interior, and years later, virtually no staining is evident. Spilled liquids just bead up and can be lifted off with a paper towel.

Soooo...is there any reason not to do the same for my carpets for the RV? I'm thinking fire hazard/toxic gas/smoke, etc.?

I would ask Luke, and then share with us what he says, it may affect the behavior of the carpets with respect to Fire- which would be less than desireable

Luke says the carpet has been treated for flammability and meets FAA spec, so probably best to leave it alone.

I'll just make all my passengers take off their shoes and fly in their socks!
