430W drive Navaid A/P and/or Narco Indicator
Planning my panel upgrade to be able to do it piece meal and get the best bang for the buck.
Have a Narco Mk12D with GS and indicator and a Navaid AP-1 with the Smart coupler.
Will a 430W drive either or both of these items?
Thanks

Not sure about the indicator but if I remember correctly the smart coupler only accepts NMEA data. The 430w will only spit out Aviation format.
You can however connect the Navaid to the analog outputs of the 430w eliminating the smart coupler.
This however won't give you the performance that the modern autopilots have these days....

I realize the performance won't be there, and no vertical navigation of course. Interception of a course will be the worse. But it gives me some breathing room before buying the trio pro pilot or similar.
