Just what the doctor ordered. My bevelled cut goes into the structure but not the straight part of the latching pin.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is what caused some of the door failures on -10's!....insufficient latch penetration.
Best,

Man am I irritated. Ordered numerous parts from this guy, paid on the 12th, wouldn't communicate with me, finally after leaving a nasty message, he sent me a fake shipping label, never shipped and now won't respond to multiple phone calls or emails. I'll probably never get my product, he got my money and I'm left installing the sorry trim cable brackets from Vans. Save yourself the hassle, don't ever send money to this guy. It's about time he shuts his lemonade stand down.

Don, In the e-mail that Steve sent me on Jan 23d said he was leaving for a business trip. Definitely not a great successful business practice, but I believe with time you'll get your parts. Skip to the next section and press on...there will be many more delays for various reasons in the future of the build. -Jim P.S. I'm waiting on a couple parts too.

I think we're both livin in a dream world. I don't think you're going to get your parts either. What I didn't tell you was that he received my payment on January 12th. He had 11 days before his all important overseas trip to send me the package. I'm officially through venting, movin on, but anybody ordering from this guy and believing they're going to get something back in return is dreamin. OK, now I'm done.

Pierre,
Sean's pins mimic the vans taper and will work better than the bullets pins when used with the HMMV material. I know, I have tried both... You will get plenty of extension with his pins

FWIW, I received an e-mail back from Steve this evening between my last post and now. So I'd expect he's getting through a back-log. Also, previous transaction for different parts a year plus ago was fine. So from my viewpoint this isn't a trend per se. My optimism still thinks it'll all work out in the end. Best to you, -Jim

Parts
A bit of a retraction. I finally recieved my parts today from Steve. While it took forever, I have to admit that the parts look great. I guess next time I'll just order a month in advance.
