Borescopes

This year's tool upgrade will be a borescope. Anyone have 1st or 2nd hand experience with this offering from ATS?

I don't have any experience with that one, but Costco still has a few of their borescopes for $149 with 100% satisfaction guarantee. Here is a link to the thread where it has been discussed.

I have not been able to "test fly" the one from Costco as of yet. Yesterday, I did however try out one from Snap On. I was able to read the date on the coins in my pocket, with pretty good clarity. Just like the Costco model, it also records to a card. I did try the reverse angle mirror and it had good clarity, but like most others can't really show you anything greater that a 45 degree angle behind the probe.

There a Cessna-produced inspection video here that shows what appears to be this very unit. Video through the unit is fairly impressive.
