Default Vernier Controls

I would like to remove the vernier prop control from my old panel to re-install it in the new panel. How does it come apart to get it out of the panel. I have been told not to disconnect it at the prop governor and pull the inner cable out, as you would do with the non vernier cables. Thanks, Bob.

Default vernier

Large nut behind the panel. Governor end could be 3/16 threaded end. If so just unscrew the fitting and jam nut. Pull the entire assembly out thru the panel. There should also be some kind of clamp near the governor end which needs to be removed. If governor end is plain wire removal is essentially the same except the wire will go thru some type of end fitting which must be removed.
