Default PPL

Great site..

Well after 46.1 hours passed my checkride today in a Decathlon and i'am finally ready to build.

Just need to work on the wife and get started on an 8.

rv8 entire airframe at airport now, painting done, intersection and gear upper and lower fairings done, maybe order engine around first of year or before the next rate increase.

Thanks everyone.

Yep the Decathlon is fun, I had a few hours in a 172 before and for some reason I always wanted to fly a taildragger. Cannot explain why other than the first aircraft my Dad showed me was a Spitfire (BBMF) and since then I have always wanted to fly and have always had that vision in my mind.

if you don't mind me asking, what's the going rate for the decath in your area? I think it's well over 100/hr here.

No I don't mind. Its about $110 an hour ($179 with instructor) but I pre-paid for 65 hrs and have ended up with about 24 left. The flight school is an aerobatic flight school as well so guess what I'm doing next...
