Default 696 to XRX interface-Voice alerts

I suggested to the wife that a XRX might be a great Christmas present. I am curious about how the interface might work. If the garmin 696 is wired into the com panel for voice alerts will you also get traffic alerts via the 696 or will it require that the XRX also be wired into the comm panel also?
On the 696 itself does anyone know if there is a way to move the pop up window for alerts from the bottom left corner to the top left or right? Thanks!!

George

The 696 privides audio for traffic alerts from the 330 xpdr with the TIS data stream, I would imagine the XRX has the same data so I would expect if to work similarly.

You cannot move the postion of the pop up window as far as I know.

Thanks Walt, I am sure if it works that way with the 330 it will be fine with the XRX. It makes wiring the XRX into the aircraft very simple.

It will work fine that way. I have the same setup with my Aera.
