Dehydrator Plugs, an alternative
Recently, someone commented about Dehydrator plugs but I'll be danged if I can find the post.
Anyway, here's something I recently discovered and it works well for my application which is for a pickled O-360 on an engine stand and covered with plastic. Pix here: https://picasaweb.google.com/1083557...LeXuPu2vLiuyQE
It's a gadget with a Remington brand name made for gun safes which also need dehydrating and can be found in many places. For instance, here: http://www.amazon.com/Remington-Mode...1303103&sr=8-5
I paid $20 locally. You use it until the crystals turn pink just like "our" plugs, but then you can plug it into an outlet until they turn blue again. Pretty slick...
Been in there two weeks so far, no pink on either the unit or the plugs which I left in for reference. This from rainy W. Oregon
