Default mogas question

What is the octane rating for gasoline that is referred to on this site as MOGAS? In north Florida we can buy what is called MARINE FUEL at several gas stations that say there is no ethanol in the fuel and the octane rating is 89. Is this MOGAS?

My engine is an IO360 with 9 to 1 compression pistons. If I mix the non-ethanol 89 octane fuel 1 to 1 with 100LL I should come up with an octane rating of 94.5. Right? Is this rating high enough to prevent detonation in my engine with two mags at full power at sea level?

Default mogas

The high compression parallel valve four cylinders were all certified for 91/96 octane avgas. This was available for a while in the sixties but was never very common. Peterson, the stc holder for mogas in certified aircraft, is alleged to have tested the 160 hp 0 320 on regular unleaded with no adverse results.
