Default mags overhauled

Can anyone tell me the best place to get mags overhauled? I have a set of slicks off of an O-320 with around 600 hours that need a going over.

Thanks.

Default Just did mine

I had them done at Mattituck. I had to send one back due to a sticky impulse coupler. But, they turned it around quick at no charge.

Now, I have 100 rpm drop each side.

YMMV

I had it done through a local shop. It was $450 or so.

The engine started and ran fine. But it you turned the prop over by hand, you could feel the resistance just before the impulse coupler snapped. The first time I did it, the prop stopped dead and my hand slipped right off it.

I have a wood prop and clean it after every flight. Sometimes it's not a bad idea just to turn it over and see how everything feels......

Default mag oh

The best guy in the business for mags is Mr Carter from Atlanta... he is in his late 80's and has been doing them since aircraft had dirt floors... email me and I'll get you his contact information.
Thanks
